need soem sound peopel to help me out :)

hey guys i need some help.

I don't knwo much about audio but HiFi buys is helping me out some.

Right now i'm doing a false floor setup with a single 12 in the floor surounded in carbon fiber. the 12in sub is gonna be a JL w6.5v2 cause i heard they are good and is a well rounded sub that can hanlde alot of different kinds of music.

and i'm gonna get a alpine 9813 headunit cause it seems liek the best bang for the buck.

all i need now is soem door speakers....and an amp...not sure what kind to get. i want to get door speakers that are under 190 bucks and an amp thats under 400 bucks that will be able to power everything and make everything sound good.

I don't knwo alot about amps and **** so please try to explain everything and please bear with me i'm new to the audio world :)

the guy at HiFi buys told me to get a 3-channel Kicker amp...not sure if thats good...a friend told me to stay away from that.

hmm speakers under 190.. try MBquart dsd 216.. those are pretty good.

I would say also look into the Pioneer REV series speakers. The 6.5" component set is $135 on eBay, and those speakers sound awesome.

For your sub, you want to try and get at least 400 watts to it. What Kicker amp are they trying to have you buy? Also, I've never heard of a 3-channel Kicker amp. What else did they tell you??

i would not recommend kicker amps. they're pretty weak and expensive. i really really am not impressed with them. i'd stay away from them and alpine. they just don't give you enough power for the buck. and they're huge for what little power you get...

i have jl amps and i love them, they're really awesome. don't know what other brands to tell you thats what i came up with as my best choice.

as for speakers, i'm not a fan of mb quarts. i'd just say go listen to them and decide. some people like em, some people hate em. to me, they're really high pitched, very sharp, and somewhat lacking in midbass. and i LOVE midbass. bostons have great midbass thats why i have them. jl xr series are also really great speakers. even their vr series is pretty good. you should be able to find a place that has all those. i'd hook em up to whatever power you're going to give them, and then shut your eyes and have someone swap them out. til you can tell them apart and which you like without knowing which one it it. just make sure they are all installed good and all. i hate when you can't compare stuff due to lack of even install.
