Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

I want to upgrade the bulbs on my celica, and I was wondering if it is ok to use either of the following bulbs with DRL still enabled?
I am planning on replacing at least my LowBeams(H7) is it worth upgrading my highbeams too

Which one is better?

Phillips BlueVision
SYLVANIA CoolBlue

Thanks in advance

Cool, thats a great price for the Mtec package... I will look into that

I have heard a few rumors that if I replace all of the blubs with Xenon, it will over heat and melt my wires or something like that..

Is this true?

Thanks for all your help

If you use higher than recommended wattage, you may run into problems like melted wiring or headlight housings. I had the MTEC bulbs, and they only lasted about 6 months. Looked nice, though. White with just a hint of blue. They did reduce visibility a slight bit, but nothing drastic.

Here's a color comparison of stock vs. Blue Vision vs. Nokya White (stay away, very dim lighting):

and they all look like stock to me. dont' waste money on bulbs unless they burn out. save your money for HIDs.

What about the Sylvania "silver star" 9005s? Any good?
I am considering them to replace my stock high beams.

My stock 9005s seem to be developing a brown coating on the inside of both bulbs. Anyone know what this is alll about?

Actually, I don`t want a "hint of blue". I just want a bulb that looks less yellow than stock..

I already have PIAA xtreme whites in my low beams.

i just bought a set of cuzo xenon hyper bulbs, they are the bluest I have encountered, they are bright, and they were only $20...there are actually a pair or two on ebay, but your local shop should be able to get them for cheap, I would try those, for real, peace

P.S. - I also have small blue wedge bulbs in the headlight fixture (parking lights) that may make the actual plastic housing a little more blue than what just the cuzo bulbs are projecting...TIM

yeah, they are pretty cool and have a good color to them, on the package they say 55W ----> 100W but do not say the if they are 4000K/5000K, so i'm not sure about that, but def the nicest pair of cheap bulbs I have bought before.

Now are we talking headlight or highbeams?

I want DDL that are tinted blue even when the highbeam bulb is at a low watt despite the tendancy to go yellow. :D

that brown spots are just burn marks because our high beams are always on, u know the drl, dats gonna happen on any clear bulb u get, and if u get blue **caugh**(rice), bulb ull notice after some time that the color will start to fade, u can disable the drl and have neither happen again

Yeah my job really sucks too and I didn't notice. I guess I revived the thread. I searched for "blue daytime lights" or something and it was like the 2nd result so I thought it was recent...

Nokya Hyper white bulbs are good for their color

I have nokya highbeam bulbs and they look nice when the car is off, but when I'm driving at night and flick them on with the HID's they look green/blue. Makes me think of how cheap they are yet I paid a retarded amount for them.
