hey larry since they got your attantion with this post, got a question for you:
How do you like the turn-in radius on the eclipse vs. the celica?
my eclipse would make wider u turns than a caddy
really used to irk me about the car
does yours annoy you as much? or do you not even notice it?
i guess hp makes up for any flaws tho huh?

It's funny you mention that because I saw an eclipse try to do a u-turn on a two lane road and it had to end up doing a 3 point turn.

well its not as bad as you guys make it sound to be but its definitely wider then a Celica.. cant whip it around as easily.. but as with all cars you get used to it cuz its yer car and you drive it all the time

LOL i had to do that alot
but ya you do get used to it
not trying to clown on the car, but it just irritated the hell outta me because the car i had before was teh mr2 and that thing could turn circles inside a dixie cup. it made the difference between the two that much more exaggerated to me. The celi has a nice turn radius :)

True Dat. my 89 MR2 had the most awsome handling of any car I have ever owned including the Celica. Of course I had the 85 true neutral suspension with rear sway kicking and some low profive V rated Dunlops that stuck like glue :) Damn I miss that car.

my old gsx had a horrible turning radius cuz of the awd on it. the mustang i can just e brake into a 180 if i need to change directions quickly. ;)

i had a 85, it had 200k on it when i sold her :( it was sooo much fun tho
it had some low pro dunlops too
front and rear braces, tokico illumina shocks and lowering springs, it was a damn fun car. I miss it too
but my bro has a 4ag from a corolla gts, sittin in his garage, waiting to be sent to the junkyard, (his gf wrecked it, then he finished it off when he got rear ended into another car) i jacked the head from it and am gonna have it ported and polished, and rebuild the whole top end, (valves and anything i can get my hands on) and find me another 85 and then import one of the 88 sc engines and rebuild that, then put it all together, with the p&p head.. I cant wait.. :burnout:
-on a site note, when i called wc toyota one day and was talking to DD about mr2s, he said he knows a shop down there that will do a 3sgte conversion into a mk I for like $3500

but i wonder if the extra weight would upset the car too much.

Although in the end ill prob just try to get as much n/a or s/c hp from that 4ag as i can..
I love that engine tho, its bulletproof in its own right. its not a 2jz, but damn good
