What Size Power Wire...?

I was wondering what size wires to run to my sub amp, its a Kicker 1200x1

I was thinking a 4 gauge... but maybe 2, or would that be too thick?

4 guage should be the answer. 2 guage i would recommend for a very big install. 2 guage is also more difficult to run. i ran 4 in my car and it was no picnic.

Holy crap batman, that amp has a 150-amp fuse. According to Kicker, they recommend 1/0 for that amp. At minimum, you need to run at least 4-gauge, but I recommend at least 2-gauge. All I can say is that is one awesome amp. Lots of power.

Wow that amp kicks ass...i had no problem running 4 gauge for my amp...2...yikes!

Take some extra $$$ for that 1/0 wire and those things like fuse blocks!!!!

i will deffinatly post pics once everything is done...

right now I have 2 12" kicker L7s, the amp and the kicker boxes sitting on my bed...

just waiting for the head unit, the alpine amp an changer to get here...should all be done by the end of the month (hopefully)
