The guy just dropped them off today. The valve cover was polished earlier, now it is powdercoated transparent red and matches my AEM intake.

Mark, at this point it looks like the track is a no-go for Saturday. With the rain, I'm gonna have to spend Saturday reassembling the car. And then Tuesday its supposed to snow!!! Oh well...soon man, soon.

Wow man, looks very, very sweet, cant wait to see it on the car. Do you think you could have the same thing done to the GT intake manifold?

I paid $300 for the valve cover, intake manifold and throttle body. The guy who did it is a friend of a guy I work with. To be honest, I don't think he'd get into it again.

A GT has a plastic intake manifold, so no you can't get this done.

you can plasti-crome the gt intake manifold. Shops that do powdercoating and chroming can do this.

Isn't PlastiChrome like the thin chrome plating they put on things like toy cars (Hot Wheels etc.) to simulate chrome? That stuff peels off pretty easily, and you'd think with all that heat under the hood it would only accelerate that process.

Got a link to more info about this?

Duh...thanks. I should'a took a look at the valve cover....excuse my "senior" moment. But on that note, is the intake manifold on the GT, plastic, or is that just a cover?

Bald, i believe its plastic.

The GT intake is defenitely plastic. Also, if the Plastichrome stuff we're talking about is the stuff they use on toys, I can't imagine it lasting more than a day under the conditions.

How much work is involved in removing those parts? I just wanna paint them to get rid of some stains that have built up over the years.
