Seems we lost the old post on this subject so I'm opening a new one. This is to post any problems you're having with the service of your vehicle at Servco Hawaii Toyota dealers. We all know now that they read this stuff, especially our forum, so maybe if we vent here they'll do something about it to improve the quality of service they give us. SERVCO WORKERS READING THIS SHOULD REGISTER AND REPLY HERE TO GIVE US SOME FEEDBACK.
I've still got the same gripe. That damned $12 charge for removal and reinstallation of the skid plate to change my oil. The service menu says the job costs $29, I brought my own oil, and still paid $35. Plus you guys didn't give me back my leftovers, so if I have to top the oil off I need to go to Wal Mart and pay ANOTHER $4.50 for a quart of Valvoline Syntec. I don't even know for sure if you guys really filled my engine with the stuff I brought, or stole it and pumped that CitGo crap in. I bought the stuff, so by not returning the leftover portion, I would technically call that stealing. And I'm looking at the service menu handout right now, there is no mention of this extra $12 charge here as a vehicle specific disclaimer. What is that? False advertisement?
The last time I brought my car in, someone with their dirty paws drove my car and got white crap all over my LEATHER steering wheel, shift knob, door panel, and dash. Hey, no sense covering up the damned seat with plastic if you guys are still gonna be that careless. I already spoke to someone in your service departement and didn't have that problem this last time, so it's ok, but still it goes to show how much respect some of your techs have for your customer's cars.
I also had a previous problem with my sunroof shade getting stained. It seems to be returning. The first time I brought it in for service, I was told to drop it off early in the morning, which I took off a couple hours of work to do, and that it'd be done by afternoon. About 3:00 I get a call to tell me that the car isn't done and that they found out that the job has to be outsourced to an interior shop. So I had to take off work another hour and pick up my car without shyt having been done. Then I had to reschedule and take off work yet again, and THEN find out that "someone" is going to drive my car to some unknown shop in Kalihi to have the work done. Yeah right, just friggin' great. I don't let ANYONE drive my car, and some random idiot is gonna take it for a spin to Kalihi?? So now that my car has even more money into it, there's no friggin way I'm bringing it in and trusting one of your guys to drive it down there again. Much less leave my car in the hands of ppl I've never met in some shop in Kalihi. Yeah right. So I guess I'm just stuck with this crap. It's not so easy to keep taking off of work you know.
Anyways, I'm kinda sure you guys have read this story before so I'll stop. If you're a service tech and you want more details, ask and I can go more into detail. I just don't wanna flame twice on the same subject more than I already have.
