Damn its been a while since I was on this board.

After a year and a bit I think I will finally sell my car. I dont want to sell it but its costing too much and I dont need to drive it much anymore. Its only a 8min walk to work which is in the city. I am going to buy a much cheaper car with cheaper insurance.

If anyone is interested please let me know.

Specs:

2000 Blue Celica SX
6spd Manual
6 year national wide warrante
Tinted Windows
Paint Protection
Fabric Protection
Dash Protection
Lowered with King Springs
K&N Air Filter
Kumosport Bushes
Excellent Condition

It currently is fitted with a Pionner DEH-P7350 head unit and 12" sub and amp. I'm not going to sell that with the car unless I can get a good price for it.

I know its done a lot of k's (45k) but that is mostly due to long trips. 30k to work each day and 30k back when i was not living in the city a month ago.

I'm asking 35k ONO

Does anyone think this is unreasonable?

Does you car have the bodykit and wheels shown in your signature? It wasn't mentioned in your specs.

If it doesn't, then I wouldn't expect to get $35K, especially with that many kms on it.

I've got a 2000 ZR in excellent condition (stock) and I would be lucky to get $35,000. It is Raven coloured and has the Sentry window tinting, complete protection package and 6-speed manual.

You might be lucky though!

Thanks Matty.. Mine is has the same protection pack and solar tinting as yours but with extra mods but that wont be worth ****. Im thinking the lower 30k would be more reasonable but I have been looking around heaps for second hand prices and some of them are still pretty high.

I may look at trading in for something brand new but I'm just not sure with what i want. Its hard parting with a $40k car for a $20k thats not the same specs. Thats why I'm looking at a Skyline GTSt.

You are located in canberra as well arnt you? I'm now living in Braddon and work in the city so its only a 10min walk. :) Sought of defeats the purpose of having a really expensive car and never driving it.

Dave, its a shame your selling the Celica. Went to www.redbook.com.au and a 2000 Celica SX with 27,000km-33,000km would fetch $30,000-$35,000 according to the site.

Also the best way to determine its real street value is to go to a Toyota dealer and ask them to value it if you're selling it out right (ie not trading it in).
This will be the best unbiased price you'll get on your car.

Good luck on the sale.

Dave,

Yes I am in ACT, but I live in North Cooma (Tuggeranong), so it is a long way for me to go anywhere.

My office is in the city as well, so I drive over 50k just going to work and home.

A Skyline would be a good choice because at least you are getting more power, even if the car isn't as stylish.

Good luck with selling the car. It's always heart-breaking to realise how much you are losing on your new car.
