went to the dealership and talked to a sales guy...i cam close to doing a test drive but the GM had the car - lucky f%cker...the car looks sick in black and i love the bodykit, let alone its internals...the only thing i couldn't help be picky about is how the engine bay looks...the celica looks all neat and what not but the evo stuff is all there...let alone the tail lights - great catz what we're they thinking!!! the interior is very simple and you have the option of the gauges..i'm glad y'all went the blitz route, maybe you can get some custom work done for the pod so that it conforms to the dash...

I saw one in person last weekend at the local dealership. The bumper is still ugly as hell, as well as the taillights. The interior also sucks ass except for the seats. They also had a license plate frame on it and it's off to the left side and looks retarded as hell. I also don't like the stock wheels. For the price they were asking, I doubt I'd buy it....but I do like the performance it has.

Agreed. Redding-out those tails would be a BIG improvement. Maybe even leave the bottom turn signal clear, for that Jaguar X-Type look. I think it's time for Blue Bat to add some Evo owners to his list of clients.

I've heard that the JDM and euro market EVO 7 tail lights are a direct fit onto the US EVO8. So that fixes one of the ugliest aspects of the car. Who ever was incharge of redesigning the exterior of the EVO8 (probably ex APC employee) should be shot. EVO7.... :bowdown: EVO8....:bang:

the tailights will be gone soon, once we get the evo 7 ones in. as far as the interior goes, is super nice, is a sports sedan not a coupe so there's no reason in comparing the celica to the EVO, 2 totaly different cars, but i'm not a fan of the gauge cluster, a ralliart one should replace that soon. :)

lack of ACD and AYC was more than enough material for me to have my deposite sent back... and i absolutely hate the nose of it and if the ACD and AYC, i'd hack those 5-mph bumpers off to fit the VII's nose on it... if it came as the VII i'd be in it...

it seems like the evo vii bumper will fit right on.. the headlights seem the same.. but as for the acd and ayc.. i dont htink u can just ad that easily.. heh.. this evo here is more of the Evolution RS in japan.. they need to bring the better trims here.. GSR.. RS450.. muwahah.. the rs450 is a monster.. sti cant touch it.. nor the 22b.. but im sure people dont know about those other trims due to the fact that their blinded by probably the weakest evo ever released.. (no offense.. its still a great car.. but definitely toned down). but i would still get it.. potential is there. and with talks about ralliart products being available here. and talks of simple ecu upgrades will definitely make the car much more of a monster.. bigger displacement doesnt always mean better.. if it aint broke dont fix it. 2.0L 4 banger 4G63 :)

Tell me exactly what situations would require active yaw control and the active center diff on a regular basis? If you were to get these would you pay the price? The EVO VII in Europe costs close to $45,000 US (30,000 pounds in England probably the same in mainland europe). The Lancer Evolution (official title) as far as driver aids and gadgets is more comparable to a EVO III than the VII or what will be the EVO VIII. But for the price it is an alternative to a WRX and it has a proven engine. I really wish people would stop bitching about how it looks, its a rally car for christ sakes in general they are not the sexiest machines in autosport they are out to race on gravel and have the look of a biker that been in one too many knife fights, your not going to mess with it.
