Can anyone recommend a good place to get a custom alignment done in Los Angeles? I'd like to be able to sit in the car while they do it and they should know what autox is and not think I'm crazy for aligning out of specs.

Thanks

Stokes Tire Pro in Santa Monica. They're on Santa Monica blvd right across Steve Taub Porsche, I think it's on 11th street.
Make sure Jeff works on your car, he's great. Tell him Denis sent you. I ALWAYS take my car there. Make sure you make an appoinment. Good luck,
Angelo

sup man,

bring your car to keyes Toyota. Ask for Adrian. the guys is super kool. he'll let you sit in while he aligns and he will charge you only $60 for whatever specs you want. next visit, he will right you up for waranty and just give him half price of cost on the down low.

They were doing some warranty work for me, and aligned my car three times.... I still wasn't happy. Stering wheel wasn't in the middle.... Maybe it wasn't the right guy though. Stokes tires prepare cars for BMW SCCA club races and autoctosses, so in my opinion they are more knowlegeble than Toyota dealer.

Just my .02

I'm going to give Stokes a try. I went to Keys last time and they tried to charge me $200 for the out of specs alignment! I had to haggle for half an hour before they agreed to charge me the standard $69.00. Plus their sales guys are all jerks!

Thanks Angelo.

Do alignments go off after a while? I'm going because my car seems more tail happy than it used to. Especially under braking. Also it pulls to the left under hard braking too.

Ray, I'll see you at H'wood Park on the 27th.

Later.
