View Full Version : Installed AEM Big Brake Rotors

Just got done installing my new mod. Got some AEm Big Brake Rotors. They look really good and the stopping is just crazy. I would reccomend these to everyone. I know my car is a little dirty and needs a wash. But you guys will get the picture.

they look painted grey to me. look at that last pic. paint em to match the car.

what size are those rotors and are those stock calipers?? where did you get them from?

I painted the calipers gunmetal but it turned out more gray than GM. It loos really good and it does match my rims. I got them from MB Autosport. Ordered them and received them really fast. I know alot of us had trouble with them in the past but they seem to be a heck of a lot better now. Install was breeze. It only took us an hour to do the whole thing.

Sorry, but I am not sure on the size but its a lot of difference from stock. You can tell from stopping distance also. I think they are 14" rotors.

looks nice, i like them alot, you shoud also upgrade to AEM calipers. That would also make them look really really nice.

you shoud also upgrade to AEM calipers

AEM doesnt make calipers for our celica's.

looks good doode... i wanted to get the black AEM but they told me they have to sell alll the cross drilled and slotted before they sell the new BLACK and Slotted only brakes...

What???? That dont make sense. I was gonna get the carbon black ones too and they said I could get them. But I changed my mind and got the silver instead. I like these better.

what the smallest wheel you can ahve to get those? will they work with my 17in Z5000's?

It is recommended that you have 17's for these. I have already asked AEM about the calipers for our cars and AEM said as of right now it is not available for the Celica's. Go to www.aempower.com and click on applications. If it was I would have gotten those to go with it. The AEM rep did say they are in production but they do not have a date of release.

CooolCelica is right they are not Volks. They are ADR Sokudo's.

did u install ur disk breaks backwards? cause in the install section on the site has it diffrent. it had it the other way around.

Do you have any idea how much more they weight than the stock rotors? I am semi-interested in getting the AEM big brake kit because I think they look great, but I don't want to do it if I am going to be adding a lot of rotational mass.

Thats true. I never thought about that. I dont have any squeeks or anything. Breaking is a lot better. I think I am gonna call AEM and find out.

I dont know how much more heavy they are from stock but it was 36 lbs when they shipped it to me.

Well according to there site. This is the pic of there setup with the 4 point calpiers they have. We went by this picture.
