So on this wet road, i make a shard left turn, as i feel the wheels kinda turn and grip (wierd feeling, can't really describe) i shift into neutral and pull up the e-brake and my car slides, I slide into oncoming STOPPED traffic waiting for the light and stop about a foot away from their headlights, did a lil head wave like what's up (my windows were down) shift back into drive and drive off. wayyyyyyy cool!!!
and later i also do a drifting kinda move on a sharp freeway curve, it was like my car was staying at a 45 degree angle around the whole curve. too cooooooooooooool.
good times.

.... NEVER shift in neutral when you are taking a curve drifting or not, you lose too much traction and you will go into a wall because you won't be able to recover if something goes bad...
other than that good job! don't kill yourself!:D

Damn Le you got Big ballZ for a little guy. I would have never done that unless I'm have a wide clear flat surface like a parking lot.

don't need to use the e-brake to get the celica to oversteer. just enter a turn hot and tap the brake and you'll lose the rear and it'll start to rotate around and if you want to straighten the car just throttle steer it while your sliding. a'la a rear wheel driver.
it's a great and scary feeling when it happens. lost control one time trying to get on a on ramp entered the turn way to hot and the idiot that i'am pressed on the brake for a bit and the car slid sideways for 2-3 secs and i couldn't save it when i felt the car's rear starting to turn too much. i pulled close to a 180 cause i was facing the other direction. luckily there were no cars behind me and i kept the clutch in and drove off.
make sure you do this in a safe area. ie: open space or a track/autox course.

well... you got little balls for a big guy.... uuhhhh yeah.... yeah the whole experience was scary for a moment, but once my adrenaline kicked in, it was fun as hell and I wanted to do that at every turn!!!
thanks for the tips though.

This is the sort of thing that gets my fists all balled up....do that crap near my car and you got problems. If you have the room to play then do what you please. You nearly wrecked your car and somebody elses, dont brag about it.

I agree with Gap, may be cool but you got any on track exsperenice (REAL TRACK, RACE TRACK not drag strip) ... ?? you got any autox ?? prob not... well then why the hell you think you can handle it when it does that... ?? you almost recked your car and your bragging about it? go to a driving school and then you can cause just maybe you could have controled it... but I doubt it, mistake on your bad driving skills tring to turn into a "cool" move.
I dislike people that do that **** around me... if I see someone like that, I don't care plate is mine and I'll be all over your ass.

Sweet jeebus guy! Losing control in traffic is not something to brag about.
There're few drivers out there that can predict what happens and do that kind of stuff safely in controlled conditions.
What would have happened if the cars were stopped just after the line? Are you experienced enough to stop your slide short?
I've only spun out in my celica 4 times. All 4 times were either at Talledega Gran Prix Speedway, or Turner Field parking lot. Each time I had no idea that I was going to spin out, and I had no idea where I was going to stop. I still have no idea how to do a controlled slide and don't want to.
It sounds like you're ripping up the street with complete disregard for other people's lives. What happens when your car stops a foot into oncoming traffic next time? Or you flip her when you slide off the freeway onramps into the grass? What if the light was green and cars were going? What happens when you take out some family b/c you're being too much of an ass on the roads? What are you going to tell the cops when they're towing your car out from some families minivan? What are you gonna tell the parents of the kid you just crippled? If I had seen you, I'd have rolled forward at the light just so I could get a free bodykit and give you a word or two after you smack the hell out of my car.
Everyone of those people that you barely avoided hitting will remember the dumbass punk tossing his car around like a rag doll. Next time they see a celica or maybe even an import they're gonna think, "Oh no, not another idiot." The worst part is that you're screwing around in the rain. Drifting is slow as hell for turning anyway, you ruin your tires, and you're not drifting your car, you're f*cking handbrake turning! My friends old VW Rabbit can do that.
We all rag on SUV's that go out into bad weather and wreck and then joke that they think they're invincible b/c it's an suv. Here's a punk that goes out into bad weather and because he's got a sporty car he thinks he can pull of badass moves and nothing will happen b/c he's driving a sporty car and sporty cars are meant to be driven fast and slide and do that cool stuff that's in the movies.
Grow up and learn how to drive. Or slide into a tree and save the rest of us the embarrasment of you driving a celica.

whoa whoa whoa.... yes i was kinda bragging about it, but be sure i don't do this or intentionally do this on purpose.... i was merely describing an event that happen. i don't plan on doing this like at every turn (even though i said i did, it was to merely describe my excitement) where there are people everywhere and where i can hurt myself. an instinct kicked in and i pulled my e-brake.... like i said it was scary but got an adrenaline rush afterwards, i can't help that rush.
and sir, telling someone to drive into a tree to kill themselves is not a funny thing at all to say cause u don't know who i am... my last post during summer of 2001 on nc.org was my friend did run into a tree and died...
however, i do take your response as good critism of my actions, but sir please don't rag on someone like that, callin them names and sh!t.

SLOW DOWN!!!! THIS IS A NEIGHBORHOOD!!
Whoa, whoa slow down man....haha. I slid around a sharp corner myself(not intentionally) and my experience wasn't nearly as fun as yours. I slid off the road right into a ditch. Becareful man...it's easy to lose control.:paranoid:

Yeah I thought drifting was fun with a lowered car. That was until I got my sway bars, oh my God! It is so much easier to control the car now, it handles kinda like a awd car. No more of that sh*t where you take a hard turn and the back wheels drag. Its crazy.
Except I do it in a closed area.

Tis cool man. I'm just kind of tired of those guys that go out after watching Fast 'n Furious and rip their cars apart; and it's hard enough to get any respect after the "Looks Fast" commercials.
And the sliding into a tree part, I didn't mean you going away, just you not having a celica anymore. No wish for physical harm to you intended. I didn't realize I came off as such a ****.
I apolagize for being pretty harsh there, but i've had close family members get hit while at a stop light (tow truck tried to turn left at 30-40mph). Or another Atlantan that took a twisty too fast and slid off the road onto some nasty rocks.
Go out and have fun, all I ask for is to keep it under control around other people. Big, remote, empty parking lots are ****loads of fun, especially if you just happen to have a few cones in the trunk.
Mistrimeat: BUT I DON'T EVEN BELEIVE IN JEEBUS!!!!
