Boy, the RSX has only been out for a few months now and as usual the aftermarket companies wasted no time on jumping on the Honda Bandwagon!

That Fuc#ing pisses me off. That car has only been out for a few months and the aftermarket is almost bigger for it than the Celica. We need to start bombarding these stooooopid aftermerket companies until they put out. it took 2 years for APC to kick out the lenses for the celica and these look like they had them pre planned before the RSX was released.

err..imo the less rice for the Celica the better. :-)

It's not the rice it's the principle that the RSX has only been out for a few months and it's got a lot of aftermerket crap already.

I couldn't agree more.
C&D on TV I saw today covering the SEMA show said that RSX drag car is "only" putting out like 500HP. I could be wrong on that, but I know it was far less than the supposed 900HP the Celica drag car is supposed to do. Although, now that they dropped the 2ZZ project, who knows what the hell is going on.
They also had a 2002 Civic Si hatchback dragcar there. And they commented that Honda is finally supporting the effort to make Hondas the fasted FWD car, instead of ricers doing that job.

RSX had us from day 1. They had aftermarket parts before they even got released. Honda probably gave the aftermarket manufacturers a helping hand.

Plus its a Honda. Cant go wrong with Honda.

Ya, I remember when the talk of the town around here was the Altezza's for the Celica were out, and we didn't even get to see a finished product or a picture even for who knows how long:pissed .

As far as appearance mods (body kits and what not), we have as much or more than any car out there. We do have less performance mods (especially power and engine-related stuff). Many of these companies have the belief that Celica owners care much more about looks than performance. If you disagree, then try calling or emailing an aftermarket company to help prove otherwise. Letting these companies know what we want is the only way to ever get it. Good luck.

Dude I had to go to MBAutosport and talk Min into making a copy of the C-one scoop and spoiler and look everyone has one now. The point is the mods we have are almost all one of a kind and we have to pay out the ass for them where 5-6 COs are competing on the same crap for the Honda market.

Let's face it. Honda has a bigger market share. Companies don't have to wait to hear from Honda owners in what they want because they know they will sell what they produce. There will evidently be more RSX's on roaming the streets than Celica's, and that doesn't bother me at all:).

I think people are just pissed off that it's taken this long to develop underhood stuff for the Celica.

i am pretty pissed about that too..and the prices are OUTRAGOUS to me. i think the hoodscooop shoudln't be 100 USD and its even unpainted. maybe its just me but i think it should be 50 USD unpainted and 100 USD painted. well thats just my .02

You can get a painted one for 175.00. A reasonable price for something that looks pretty good on the hood of your car. Or you can pay 300+ for an unpainted C-One hoodscoop.

hmm...ionno imma call mb autosports tomorrow....and see how much i can get one for painted white...but i heard they're a lil big and they don't fit flush witht the hood, and it needs sanding...so i'll see tommorrow when i call them. i want it already painted white...

1st gen hoodscoops had some fitment problems and additional holes needed to be drilled. I have 2nd gen hoodscoop, and fitment is pretty good. The paint match was right on too:).
