Hey all... I just picked up a set of Rage 5.0's in 15x6.5 from discount tire. I put one on one corner of the car to test it out, and I have a few questions...

1) It looks like it is a hub-centric wheel, but the center hub section is much larger than the stock wheels, and when I put the wheel on the car, it was totally resting on the bolts. Is this okay? These are going to be my AutoX wheels, so assume aggressive driving conditions...

2) The stock lug nuts don't quite sit correctly... on the stock wheels, the washer sits flush on the wheel, and the rest of the nut goes through the hole on the wheel. With the Rage 5.0's, there isn't a flat part for the washer to sit on, and I don't really feel confident about the way the nut and wheel fit together - so I'm assuming I need to get another set of lug nuts - is that true? Anything special I should look for in the lug nuts?

I'm going back next weekend to get the tires mounted on the wheels, so if there is anything else I should ask about while I'm there, let me know... thanks!

We are using the same wheels. They should have provided you with a set of plastic hub centering adapters to fit your hubs and wheels (ask to purchase a couple extras, just in case. I think they were a buck each for the extras, the first set was free.) They also sold us a set of tuner lugnuts splined on the outside. You could also use standard nuts from steel wheels, but they're not attractive. (I bought an extra adapter for the lug nuts as well)

I did get the plastic adapters, but they don't really make for any better of a fit. A guy with the local autox group said that it wouldn't be a big deal if i'm just running the wheels for events. He did recommend picking up another set of lug nuts that fit better (i did - conical 12x1.5 for another who is curious).

Thanks for the help!

They must not have given you the right ones then. Mine are an excellent fit on both the wheels and the hubs, in fact I have to watch to see if they stayed on the hubs or in the wheels when I'm changing tires. Don't run them without the proper adapters, the vibrations will be noticable, and you could damage the lug holes.
I'm ordering a third set of the Rage's tomorrow.
