Mods are as follows.
Balanced and blue printed
JE stock compression pistons
EIP tuning copper head gasket
Crower rods
LA sleevs
Custom deck plate (welded)
UR crank pulley
Fidanza flywheel
TRD LSD (clutch type)
ACT clutch
Port & Polish head, 5 angle valve job
Ferrea Stainless steel valves (custom)
titanium retainers
valve spring upgrade
Port intake mainfold
with about 70~ miles on the engine after build, car is running good...but i need another celica to compare against, since it's been a year. I can't wait to get some "good" gas in there and get the oil changed after couple hundered miles. I think lift will be spectacular!!!
sorry i didn't know what forum to put this in...

Sooo...uh.....how much HP are you expecting? I'd bet yours is probably one of the most built up N/As around....congratulations.

Damn, that sounds mean. You need to get a full engine management system so you can change the limiter. I bet you could rev to 10000 rpm and still be safe.

well update, today i felt like streching the legs, and decided to go for a drive, need less to say, it was great till the point where the car dies in the fast lane at 60mph. Got the car home called the shop and the owner came to my house to look at the car, I did a compression test, with grat results 2, 3, & 4 were in the 215 Psi range, witch is high and good (needs higher octane than i thought i guess the copper head gasket upped the compression). Then #1 0 Psi, so something is wrong with the valve train on #1 cylinder...Monday i'll have more information.

yeah 190 ish Wheel Horse Power seeing as i had low numbers before only at 170hp with, i/e/s-afc, but that was on 18's. i think they may have been a differnece on 15's.

the vlave train is custom, the valves were 600.00 and the valve springs and reatiners were crossrefferenced with another Toyota product, i am not sure what car, but the valve spring seats were modifed for larger diameter spring, i belive a dual. can't remeber the price on the valve springs since no aftermarket valve springs are available. then i tried to have cams made, but they were gonna be like 1500 for the cores and take and extra 6 months...so i said forget that. i doubt it'll get done now cause i have a Supra draining my pockets...

crower rods from monkey wrench, the pistons were custom made, cause JE didn't have a piston mold for 2ZZ. they do now, **** they have one of mine. The engine shop got them for me.

Just got home from a night of race gas and 18psi, i love BOOST!

You build up your motor for high revs, now all you need is engine management like a Apexi PowerFC to raise your redline and better tuning.

damn dude, thats nice. Ive been waiting for someone to do a crazy N/A build up on a 2zz. Do you calculate compression ratio by psi in cylinder/(divided by) psi of atmosphere?....if that is right and you figure that atmospheric psi is about 14 psi then that means you are running about 15:1 CR....jeezus. Great job, hope to see you at the next ToyoSpeed meet.

well looks like it is worse than i thought.
one of the needle bearings that rides on the lowerlobe for the cam shaft is disnigrated, plain old bearing falure. that caused the cam to lock up and the chain cam off...gonna be awhile till it's up and running again, VVTL-i bolts didn't breck though.

I'm interested in knowing from what motor the valve springs and retainers were used.
Thanks.
