27k??? Was that in our area? I remember the fully loaded 03 GTS I test drove had a sticker price of 27k!! I told them it was too much and I was not even considering in buying it. That was after I test drove it of course. I hope nobody buys one for that much!! A couple of grand more will get you a base 350Z.

Everytime I go to the dealer I check out the Celica price and it has consistently been around 27K for the GTS. I agree that its overpriced and Toyota should reduce it by at LEAST 2k to stay competative. How much is do RSX-S's go for?

i got mine for 24k everything w/action package except leather... but with taxes and everything almost 27k

Toyota should drop their prices, if you want a decent equipped GT (we'll use a auto trans as a example) with alloy wheel, moonroof, foglights, and spoiler, it costs almost $22k! Last I check it was $21,700MSRP for a model like that, (*at least here in Northern CA*)

A comparbely equipped RSX is cheaper then that and comes with leather.

i'm the one that posted that article about the price drop. it was in an auto review book ( of which the celi got good ratings ). i'm not sure what is bringing this price drop on, not sure if it's totally true, but if i would of found the book before i got my 03 TRD celi last month i would of waited till june to find out. when i went in for mine there was no price hagling...it seemed like they were happy to sell for $500 over sticker price. which makes me think even more that this may just be true. who knows...next time i go to costco i'll get the book name/author.

I'll never buy a brand new car... i rather just get a slightly used one for thousands less!

they should drop it to 15,000 for a fully loaded celica .... that would mean more celicas ......

The GT TRD up here sells for 27,900, i think i got mine for 26,200 before taxes and crap. which is close to 18K US. i got a good deal but it could of been better if this article that i read is true.

I've got to say that the celica is way over priced. For that price you could almost buy a 350z. My friend bought a Rsx-S for 21k out the door fully loaded, but that was a pretty good deal.

I paid 25K for my fully loaded auto 2003 GTS with HID in October of 2002. Now, in Madison, the 2002 GTS that was their demo car last year, is sale priced for 19,999 for a red gts with everything except HID. It has been priced at 19999 and has not moved- it has 600 miles from test drives and such. My 03 has been sitting on their lot for months, and has not moved since. I think that Toyota is realizing that Celica is not selling very well. For not much more, you can get a v6 mitsu eclipse or a 350Z. Although, from what I have heard, a lot of people in my area think that the celica is nothing but a problem car. who knows. It will be interesting to see how they drop prices this summer. later

well, the reason i started this thread is because I'm looking to buy right now. I went to one dealer who was willing to sell me any celica in the region for $200 over invoice.
At another one, they only have one celica. They were willing to sell it *below invoice*.
They're also all clearing out their lots of celicas... but the '04 is supposedly not out until august/sept. So I got curious :)
