Argh!!! Speed Limiter

hehe.. me and my friend in his Eclipse were messing around the other night on the highway and decided to do a 3rd gear run.. so we started off in 3rd and went at it.. I pulled away a little bit on him as he shifted earlier then i did and I have a few more mods then him, ran into 4th and kept pushing it.. then it happened.. DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA.. hehe.. DAMN SPEED LIMITER..hehe.. I was at the top of 4th fear at 131mph.. ****!!!!!.. I didnt realize the car was speed limited so I popped it in 5th and floored it to only hit the limiter about .00001 seconds later :(.. that sucks soo bad.. Ive alerady figured out how to disable that, that will be soon :)

well i only have 5 gears :).. what pissed me off was the car was still pulling hard..hehe.. the car can hit 150 easily it seems.. cant wait to get the new turbo :)

well i was told I have to jump two terminals on the ECU.. so basically when i get a new turbo that will be the first thing I do ;)

Larry, dont forget to get some better rated tires too, cause without the limiter they will just explode on you, and I would hate to see you die, I was reading up on that limiter too, thinking about doing the same thing to my eclipse, let my know if you do it first and how it works out. This one time I was racing my friends Integra and I was raping it so I shifted into 5th thinking I would pull even more but it just wasn't going past like you said around 130, but my friend had taken enough of a beating so I wasn't too upset... I wonder why they put **** into cars that only make them suck and only make you have to work harder at fixing it.

the reason y is becuz of the tires.. they are only H rated or something.. while the GSX came with Z rated tires and can run to 150 or so before it hits its speed limiter..

I didnt your eclispe was that fast larry. What does it push Stock HP. I think thats a fun car to mod.

205 stock.. not sure what its pushing right now though.. id guestimate around 250ish..

Yeah, I hit that limiter the first day I had my GS-T. Surprised the hell outta me. Felt like I hit a wall.
