Just curious if the 2003 HID lights will fit in the 2000?

Second, I'm pretty sure this won't work, but can you take the HID "system" off another car (ie audi, bmw) and hook it up to another?

IMO looks like it'd be easier just buying a new system, OEM parts are a ton, and with Celicas HID I'm sure it will be a needle in a haystack trying to find it used.

your first question, yes the 03 HID's will fit the 2000, but its a pretty pricy mod, I think it was like $1200+ cuz you need the wiring, bulbs, headlight housings and all that.

second, with patience everything is possible. maybe not Plug-n-play but with modification it could work.

Maybe a better question would be, what exactly is involved in an HID lighting system (ie, ballast, bulb)...

What I was thinking was that I could go to some salvage yards and bid on some wrecked 2003 celicas as long as the lighting assembly was ok, which it usually isn't if it's totalled, but it's worth a shot.

VolComgNu,

Your best bet if you wanted to go that route would be to get an HID kit out of a Celica however you would also need to get the actual OEM Celica HID headlights.

And don't forget the beam adjustment switch that's inside the car. If i was to do the conversion that is something i'd definately want.

Or you could buy a conversion kit for about $450...no leveling though...
