wtfh. i was just lookin for the tire pressure part on the tire, when i saw the little arrow icon for rotation. all tires were pointing right way...EXCEPT FRONT LEFT.

wtf! i thought maybe i had it on the wrong side, but no. the way it's on the rim means it can only go on the right side, but i already have two good right side tires.

wtf do i do? can i just take it and get it remounted on the wheel the opposite way?

did this do any bad things to my car? now all the steering quirks i remember i'm not so sure were quirks... :pissed

Yup, just take it to a tire shop and have them flip it.

As for the steering quirks, there is an off chance that it makes a difference. Mostly it matters for evaculation of water wen you are on wet roads.

how about highway driving? at all? i know my steering leans a little to the left so i always have to compensate to the right. a few other people who've driven my car have told me this.

BTW, i believe that about the wet roads. the car has sucked complete ass in bad weather. i never knew why. the tires weren't bald. i was just driving in snow yesterday. it would spin the tires in any kind of movement also.

which brings me to a question. having it on backwards...will this affect the rolling resistance of the tire on dry pavement?

It will affect how water is channelled from under the tire. It won't do a very good job of that with the tire facing the wrong direction. Definitely get it flipped around the right way.

On dry roads the difference should not be significant.

about your car going left, mine seems to do that as well. My friends does that also (this is not on crowned roads). MIght just be a Celica thing.

Guys, get your alignments checked. The car shouldn't pull to one side or another. If the road is crowned, you may get some minor pull, but on a flat straight road, the car should track straight. It's worth the $60 to get a four wheel alignment and save your tires some damage.

I would think uneven tire wear could also cause this.

i let go of the wheel and the car goes straight on straight level roads, but the wheel is still turned a little to the right.

psychologically annoying as all hell.
