Well, I was going up to Camelback to snowboard with my friends, and we had just been on the road for about 20 minutes. I was not in the eclispe but I was in my dad's new Pathfinder. So i get on Rt. 206 and the fuking road is not plowed, so I'm like ok well this beast is 4 wheel drive and I'll drive really slow unlike most SUV owners. So I'm going 30 mph on a 55 mph, when all of a sudden the car catches a slush trail and ****ing does a 45 degree turn towards the median, but I didn't panic I didnt slam on the brakes but rather slowly turned the wheels so we wouldnt hit head on, well all of a sudden the car bounces off the median on the front passenger side, does a 360 and bounces off the passenger back side:shocked I was like oh **** this piece of shiit, get out and the back is all cracked the bumper is hanging off, the exhaust pipe is bent in like a U and the car is leaking anti-freeze! I hit the median at like less than 30 mph!!! I thought trucks were safe!!! I had driven my celica and my eclipse through snow storm and nothing had ever happened, then I drive this shiit cause its supposed to be safer and bam! I get into my first accident, I felt like such a doosh bag... good thing is my brothers werent hurt and we didnt slam into the median at 55! cause Im sure we wouldve flipped. But I didnt get to enjoy those 8 inches of fresh powder on the slopes, but at least I lived...but now I gotta do all that **** with the insurance company:mad Oh well just thought I would share with you guys and remember SUV's suck big donkey cock, I love my eclipse... Drive safe

I had a SUV honk and highbeam me for going too slow.. I was going 15-20 mph in a 35 mph zone, that had hills and was covered with snow. Going downhill around a bend, I turned the wheel to turn, and the car just would not turn.. it really scared me, so I went slow after that. The freaking SUV honked so I just pulled over to let him pass..

The misconception is that SUVs will do better in snow, when actually it's difficult because of their wider tires. Their only advantage is FWD and higher ground clearance. This is also another reason why I think most SUV owners should be shot.
