ok yeah i heard it doesnt work but for what reasons does it not work. i have it installed on mine and havent had problems with it so far (crossing fingers and knocking on wood) yeah i did have it custom fitted on so was the fitting the thing wrong with it. someone clear this up for me.

Just b/c it fit on there doesn't mean that it works. It has to be on the same axis as the throttle body to be effective (or something like that). Aem's website tells why?

Common sense tells me that the bypass needs to be higher than the intake filter. The higher it is, the more effective it is (less chance of it being submerged too).

I remember reading the reason it didn't work on the Celica's AEM CAI was because it is too curved.
