Do NOT buy from her. I thought she would be cool because I regularly see her online for awhile but not after my buying experience.

Sorry this is going to be long, but I just feel like everyone should know.

Before I paid her, she gladly responds quickly to everytime I call or PM her, and after she knows I'm missing pieces, she only responded to my messages like 2 times a week. I can prove this to you....if anyone wants to see my PM box, I'll gladly give you my ID and password.

I bought a set of Skunk2 coilovers from her (beth) for $175 shipped. I receive it in 2 weeks. But when I open the box, the powdercoating on the springs are almost all chipped off because of the bad packaging (only couple pieces of newspaper here and there). And the kit only came with 4 springs and 2 sleeves. That leaves 2 sleeves, about 20 other washers and rings and 2 wrenches and other miscellaneous things missing. So I PM her about this and she she tells me to give her a list of what is missing so that she can get them for me! She said that she didn't know because it's the shop that took it off and mailed it out without her knowledge (bs?). She said she called Skunk2 and was told they would call her back. So I wait for about a week. Then when I hear no updates, I PM her back and she tells me she's still waiting for a response. In the meantime I call them AND email about the costs for the missing pieces. They had no problem returning BOTH my email and phone. So she tells me she emailed them. So I wait again for about 3 days, then she tells me she didn't get back any email from them. By now I'm really thinking she's full of it.
Everytime I tell her to call she says she's waiting for a response. I don't see how busy she can be not to get a hold of Skunk2 for 2 weeks.

So she tells me to call Skunk2 myself, and get this she tells me to LIE to them by telling them I bought them from a made-up company name and the only thing I got in the box was 4 springs and 2 sleeves. I think Skunk2 would know what stores distribute their products. And I personally believe this is wrong because it's like stealing. I hate it when people still shiet from me, so I didn't call them regarding this. And then one day I guess she got tired of it, so she tells me that Skunk2 was not cooperating with her on giving her the missing pieces (OBVIOUSLY who would believe that), and tells me to return the springs.

But when I tell her that it's her responsibility to cover shipping costs back to her place, she says I'm not being fair at all. And that she is being totally fair by just accepting the return package. I mean why should I be responsible to have to pay shipping back (mind you it costs like $30 since we live on opposite coasts). She said I am responsible because I didn't pay for shipping them to me?!?!?!? As far as I know, it was $175 shipped just like in the PM that she sent to me. There was nothing about $175 plus free shipping, haha.

I don't see how I should be responsible for $30 after she TELLS me to give her a list of what's missing so she can get them for me, AND after outright telling me to LIE to Skunk2 about all the 28 missing pieces from the kit.

WTF?!?!?! Beth PM'd me about 2 weeks ago telling me she doesn't get paid till May 15. But that evening I check my paypal and nothing was there. So I sent her couple PM's and left a voicemail on her cell phone since then (so it's been 4 days now since) and I haven't heard anything from her. She's been posting on the forums however this whole time though. It's like she's ignorning me after she promises she will pay me back. Damn wtf?!?!?!! I did find out. The total missing parts came out to be $150ish since everything was missing including 2 sleeves. AFTER she found out it costed so much, that's when she started to try to lie to them that she was missing them. At first she said give me the list and I'll get them for your, but then she didn't know how much the things costed. And I also sent it back to her because she told me she would refund my money AFTER she receives the kit back which she did. Then she tells me she doesn't get paid until 15th (1 week after she receives item), and since then has never bothered to get back to me, even though she keeps posting on the site.

Not like that is in anyway an excuse for this situation getting out of hand but just to let everyone know, I have every intension of refunding Peter his money. I for one talk to beth regularly...She WILL refund your money, it's just going to be time. She didn't screw up, her shop screwed this up. She didn't know any better. Financially, she's strapped, she's just trying to hold onto her car. You'll get your money man, I'm sure of it.

I absolutely do not feel that she knows she is responsible. She still has not told me anything in private since 2-3 weeks ago. Even after posting here, she hasn't notified or told me anything. communication in a mishap is key. Problems happen, but even if things are out of her control right now, she can still keep him updated and respond to his email privately. It doesn't take much of an effort to do that, or cost anything, and at the very least that's what should be done.

Easy enough for everyone to tell KSilver2000 to take it easy and chill out, but if I were in his situation and had to deal with everything that's gone on in this transaction, and had MY money on the line, I'd be just as peeved. It's like giving someone you don't know a loan with no interest and then not hearing anything back from them... because obviously the money has been spent if she can't refund it to him right away.

Hopefully you and Peter can stay in contact so the resolve to this situation does not have to be displayed for the public to see.

OK this is really getting to me. It's been over a month now, and she during that time she only gave me like 3 replies maybe, and 2 of them were promises that she was going to pay me back during the month of May. Now after not hearing from her for over 2 weeks since the last time, I finally decided to tell her that I was going to call a lawyer to settle this (my friend graduated from Michigan Ann Arbor Law school and works for some law firm in Oakland, CA), and so then she FINALLY sends me back a PM saying:

"Peter, I am going to be starting a part time job in a couple weeks after I recover from surgery that I am having on monday. I was planning on sending you the money once I start the new job, so PLEASE bare with me and hold on for a few more weeks. "

To be honest (and I'm pretty sure anyone in my situation would be too), this sounds like a total flake. After all this, she finally tells me (after I tell her I'm going to contact a lawyer) that she is going to get surgery and a new job in a couple weeks, so that means to get my money back would take AT LEAST another month! since employers don't usually pay until after awhile you start working..........

So just to know if this was the truth or not, I ask her that I WILL wait, as long as she can give me evidence of this to make it true. So I ask her for the hospital name/number and her "going-to-be" employer's company/store name/number so that I can call to verify her statement. But she replies by saying it's "None of my business."

Personally, I really don't believe a single thing of what she is saying.

What does everyone else think about this?

Thanks people. I'm glad there is people that knows what I am going through. I guess I'll be calling up a lawyer tomorrow (Friday) or Monday. I'm with you Wicked808, there are priorities in life, and fixing up a car over financial responsibilites seems really stupid to me. Also, I would like my money back because just as you said, I'm not going to work my butt off or have my parents work all day just to have some stranger take our money and spend it on his/her car. Sorry had to vent, but seriously, I used my companys lawyer for my problem so you dont need a specific lawyer. When I had my problem, all I need was the email responses, reciept of payment (MO reciept, Verify the cashing date for check, print paypal account etc)

The only thing is you gotta pay for the court date IF the defendant arrives. Most times they wont, cause their wrong and its a pain. Like for me, I live in Hawaii and most peeps are in the states so he never came down, just paid me back.

Your FIRST priority is paying Peter back. Your car is NOT. The fact of the matter is that you've wronged an innocent buyer and you, as a seller, need to take the necessary action, in this case, pay the seller back NOW. NOT after you get your little car all pretty and cute for your sponsers, NOT when you feel like it, but NOW.
Because the fact of the matter is, this whole thread can be used against you as evidence in a small claims court and you have been, no offense, acting quite immature about this whole issue while making yourself out instead to be the victim here.

Fess up to your actions and pay Peter back.
