Thanks to the fights, throwing beer bottles, public oral sex, public nudity, arrests, 300+ fines, accidents inside the fairgorunds, underage drinking, evidence of lots of drug use, and attacks on the Carlisle security, the Carlisle events board has cancelled all future plans to hold compact car shows there. That's sucks BIG! Thanks to all the a$$holes that ruined it.

yup that really sucks that a$$holes like that are going to ruin our scence. I bet the majority of people doing that did not even own cars, and could not appriecate the love we have for it.

Well when it gets that big, your gonna bring in the bad with the good. Some kids just don't know how to have a good time the right way. Now it sucks for the rest of us. Where else will we find 3000+ imports together for a 3 day weekend.

Well that and girl on girl action in plain view. Not that I don't like to see that. But I'd rather not see it in public and keep a huge compact show around. That's what the club down the road is for.

It wasn't me and my buddies carrying around our cooler drinking we left early enough to miss all that stuff....

My whole argument. I wanna decide for myself if it was really worth canceling :gap: I mean this girl on girl action as they call it..For the effective argument of those canceling it, couldnt they like you know..get some pics that would do justice to show the public the true extent of these horrific acts. :naughty:

Dude I think the only places you've ever seen real ass was when you were born and here on the net apparently.

Actually it was the arrests and hundreds of fines, complaints from the residents that really did it in according to the news.

What the local news had to say (http://www.thewgalchannel.com/automotive/2181266/detail.html)

honestly i ws asking myself that with all this going on, how they would allow it to occur again without placing some strict rules or cancelling it altogether. makes sense.

unfortunately you get a lot of trash coming to things like this that mess it up for everyone else.

Well, I'm glad I made it out when I did. Too bad the idiots had to ruin a good show. The bad part about it is, the idiots will invade another show and ruin it. We figured at minimum they would ban glass bottles. Sucks. What happened to just looking at cars, having a couple of cold ones and having a good time?

Cruisefest Nationals here in Ohio. They actually encourage nudity and such.

i agree with you jason, but the fault is on the organizers, not the people that attend the show....

The behavior of some the people who attended the show was horrible, by everyones account. My question is why did the organizers allow this to happen again. They said last year if there were problems again the show would be cancelled, there were problems so they cancel it. What did they do to prevent these problems? Nothing that I could see. Does anyone else knows of any measures they took?

I personally don't think they had enough security for the amount of people that were there.

I think it's the people at the show that took advantage of the low security to do ignorant things. The only fault of the Carlisle staff is they do not know how to deal with this type of crowd. But the Carlisle Productions crew can only take care of this "problem" inside the grounds of their property. Outside of the show was just as big of a problem which the local police had to deal with every year. It all boils down to people that can't handle themselve responsibly and need to be watched over like children.

It looks like we're in for alcohol-free shows from now on. And what's really hurting is the image of people like us. Now we'll be associated with this trash. And people wonder why cops single us out.

WOW....im not shocked but i am...i havent been to the import show...but i got to 2 or 3 other classic car shows thoughout the season at carlisle, and out of all the other shows i have NEVER seen a problem at them...on or off the fairgrounds. (well obviously SOME stuff goes down), but not enough for a cancellation.

so if this is the way the show was last year, and it happened again this year...it deserves to be canceled. the show is not to blame, its those selct few a$$holes that ruin it for everyone(almost like woodstock). VERY uch a shame though to see a good show like that say "see ya"
