My shifter feels better ...but different

Hi im on 780 miles on my brand new 2002 GT-S, and when i picked up my car the shifter had a rubberband pull feeling to it.
Now its doesnt have that no more ... but feels better going into gear .. very easy. Theres no grinding or anything ...just feels different, is this what it feels like when its broken in?

I know my car never felt like that, if anything it was getting harder to get into gear, my shifter has always been stiff. Either way, if you want more precise notchy shifting, get a short shifter. If not, maybe some lube?

My shifter felt awsome for the first 8 or 10 months I had my car then it started to feel notchier and feels like its always scrapping. I changed to a short shifter and that didn't help al all. I'm going to take it to the dealership soon and have them look at it a second time. Your lucky BRAK that yours feels better.

hmm ... i still am gonna see if there is anything wrong(from what the toyota person sees). Other than that .. all i really feal is that knotch when i get it in gear .... and its easy movin everywhere else. LOL maybe that wheel hoppin i did accidentaly (i over reved it at a start up) helped. i dunno:biggrin:
