I'm putting my GT-S in the "indoor" ImportXpression show tomorrow nite in Wash D.C. and they said in order to run my lights and audio system that I need an inverter to plug into their three prong receptacles, since all the cars' batteries must be disconnected while inside the building.
Does anyone know what kind of inverter they are referring to? and a retailer that would sell it? I need to know tonite so that I can get it tomorrow morning. Thanks

An invertor? And your battery is disconnected? WTF!! The only thing I can think of is something like a power supply or battery charger. If I were you, I would bring a battery charger that can change it's output and lots of extension cords.

Curt, I have a battery charger like that and was planning on using it until they said that I needed an inverter. When asked what type of inverter, neither ImportXpressions nor the Expo Center had any idea.
Oh well thanks for the reply, anyway. I'm just going to take the charger :D

bill, i have seen an AC -> DC power invertor. that might be what they are refering to. you should be able to pick one up at radioshack. i know i have seen them there. not too sure about the price however.

Actually, going from AC -> DC is a convertor, and going from DC -> AC is an INvertor.
