I think I know the answer, but I just want to double check - is the TRD short shifter legal in SCCA stock classes? To its case, it doesn't really improve performance, it just gives shifting a better feel - kind of like a replacement seat or stereo, right :) ?
Thanks for your help, I'll get a rule book one of these days...

Just to clarify what Nxracer replied, it's not legal, for a reduction of shift throw will reduce the amount of time needed for each shift by half or more (depending on the shift kit, and the % of shift throw that's reduced). Thus you can save maybe .4 sec per shift, which adds up when you're talking about people winning by .001 seconds in some cases. It's a great idea, but sorry, no dice. - Aaron

Dude! If its taking you .8 seconds to shift (short shifter saves half you say = .4) then you need some shift help.
Using Geez!, I've worked at cutting my shift times from .7 down to .4 seconds. That's a .3 savings, cut that in half and I'm prob going .15 faster each run, just on the 1-2 shift.

I'm actually not sure how long it takes me to shift, although I'll find out when I use Eric's Geez. I had to estimate, but for a bad shift, .8 I guess wasn't a bad estimate. Thanks for posting some actuals Rick.. See you in Ft. Myers. - Aaron
