This might sound dumb... but i didn't know it untill my friend told me..

plus i post this b4, but i can't find it.. so i ask again hehe. .

when u shift during drag race..

do u release gas which shifting in gears?

or u just push the clutch and shift.. didn't release gas if so wouldn't that burn the clutch? but i know it will go faster tho..

I think what you're referring to is called "power shifting".

It does make you faster, but it beats the hell out of your car. Do it to your friend's car, not your's ;).

That's called power shift and it's not recommended because you over use the clutch and synchos. If you do it and grip sure it helps a bit.

P.S. That's for people that desn't know how to shift. Quick shift is more efective and doesn't hurt the car but, requires more practice.

I power shift at the track only. I know it's not good for the tranny, but it's great for time slips. Exactly how is it bad for the car anyway? I don't get a burning smell or anything like that. :confused:

about this speed shifting what is it for us i know that u could do it
at 55g but that wont help whats the other point?
