It's said that it takes more skills to drive and handle a Toyota Sports car than Honda one. What do you guys think ? I only drove my friend's 93' Honda CRX before but it's pretty old and I don't think it's fair to make the comparison.

I don't think so I have heard this said but I have driven my friends 2000 civic and my sisters 93 civic many times and they just handle differently, Not that they are easier to drive but different and I actually think it is harder to handle a civic but that is probably because I am used to the celica, which if you look at the numbers handles better, Just my opinion.

You need to be more specific. You said it takes more skill to handle a Toyota sports car, but you never say which one. All you both have talked about are Civics and CRXs (not Honda sports cars). Honda makes two sports cars, the S2000 and the NSX. Toyota no longer makes sports cars in the US. We could use the last generation Supra TT and the 2nd gen MR2 turbo for comparison.
The NSX is supposed to be pretty easy to drive hard, but any mid-engine car takes more skill than a front engine one. I would say the Supra TT takes more skill than the S2000 because it is a heavier car and has a lot more power to its drive wheels. I've seen mistakes made in the Supra at the road course, and it will spin around rather nicely on you.
There really isn't much point to this discussion if you want to talk about FWD low torque cars. Those are easy to control no matter who makes them.

most japanese front-drive cars are very easy to handle. they are predictable and easy to know the limits. i have both a '02 Celica GT and a '00 S2000. the s2k is an amazing car but out of all the cars i have drivin, it takes the most skill to drive hard. it is one of the lightest rear-drive sports cars out there. its handling is spot-on though the oversteer is very difficult to control, and can leave you in a ditch in a heartbeat.

Imagine if you had 50% more HP to the rear wheels and the weight biased toward the back. Then the car would be even harder to handle. But the rewards for your skills would be great.
