Will this hurt the paint?????

I know that for a new car you should use non-abrasive wax or polish.

But what happen if I use the abrasive stuff??? will it hurt the paint?

keep in mind that I have clear coat (paint protection) on my car.:confused: :confused: :confused:

I had a little rock chip so I tried to polish it so it wouldn't show so bad..Big mistake.
I don't have clearcoat and you can see where it doesn't shine as well. You can see tiny, tiny swirl scratches (abrasive wax).
