i see some people suggesting replacing the CAI with stock air box if you are going in for service. what do you guys do about the ECU cooling pipe that you had to cut? im sure they would say something about it, wouldnt they?

Why do you have to replace your CAI before you go to the dealer? <IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm5.gif" border=0>It's just an intake for crying out loud.

I have an INJEN!!! tell me why you'd have to cut it at all? The tube does cool the ecu and if it's not on there would void the warranty and your ****ed if something happens....

The 3rd gen injen cai requires the ecu tube to be cut and extended to fit properly.

I don't think they would care. I brought my car in yesterday to look at what I suspected was a misfire. I have the 3rd gen Injen CAI installed and they didn't mention it at all. I was right about the misfiring and they are going to replace the fuel injection lines and also the ECU. It's a costly upgrade and they didn't try to blame the intake for it. As long as the intake isn't causing the problem, you should be fine.
