changing tranny fluid

i have to get my mom's maxima auto tranny fluid changed...anyone know of a good place to get it done that is cheap? Also is it necessary to get the tranny flushed to get all the gunk out? thanks.

well a local auto mechanic shop should be able to do it w/ eas. depending if you put in synthetic or not, the price of it will change. but for the most part it won't cost anything(about 25-40)

not too sure if the max is the same but when i drained my tranny fluid, i just let it drain out. i didn't "flush" the thing. not even too sure what that really means. I just let it drain for about 10-15 minutes and then filed it back up.

acouple months later, still good as new
