DCM7thGEN April 20th BBQ/Meet for all car clubs!

Below is the message that I am sending out to the local car clubs. This meet is being held in VA because it's inthe same place that the meet was held last year and it doesnt interfer with a MD meet, so you MD people dont have anything to worry about.



Hello,

DCM7thGEN would like to invite you to a BBQ and Meet on April 20th at Lake Fairfax Park at Noon.

This is a get together for all the local car clubs. We are asking the local Celica's (DCM7thGEN and more) Supra's, RSX's, MR-2's, Eclipses and Imprezza's to come to this meet and have a nice day with follow car enthusiasts. DCM7thGEN (me ;)) will be providing charcoal, table clothes and name tags and at least some condiments and burgers and dogs. If you would like to bring a picnic/BBQ item please contact Kaioshin (Prinya Seebsitt) at pseebs1@gl.umbc.edu

I hope that we have a larger turnout than the great turnout from last year for the MR-2/Celica meet. That was a great event and I hope to build on it for this year.

If you could please post here if you are interested in coming (either definite or maybe and what car you drive) I will post those results on DCM7thGEN (http://www.dcm7thgen.org) . Also, any changes in the planning (because of weather or whatever) will be post there, but we will try to have the meet on this date at this time unless there is a total downpour.

I love it when people on the e-group here dis on Mary Landers. LOL!

I went to a car show last Summer that was 4 days long up in Ohio. It was about a 350 mile drive one way. And I drove to a 7 day car show in New Hampshire from Virginia back in 1995. It took me 12 hours over 2 days to get there! So I don't want to hear any sniffles about someone having to drive 50 miles. I use to ride shotgun with my sis when she would go back to school in Florida every semester. We would drive strait through for 12-14 hours and it was almost an 800 mile drive bouncing around in her stiff suspensioned 93 Escort GT. I was her relief driver IF she needed one. She would usually drive for about 10 hours or more of the trip.

So are you guys gonna say if you are coming or not. Hell the only Celica's that have committed are me, liz and marc (and you dont have to positively commit, if you plan on coming now thats all I want to know, it helps in planning parking at the park) The supras are outnumbering us like 2 or 3 to one right now.
