Need Ideas for a new ride

My brother is getting a car in the spring. Just wondering what car you guys would get? He's 16 years old. I was thinking a Teg gsr or Eclipse gst. Hmmm, maybe even the 2003 Civic Si? He was gonna get a GTI but thats a no go. Oh don't tell me celica for obvious reasons. Must be a used car, or good priced new car. hhehe oh yeah, It must be a car that is supported by the aftermarket. And finally I must want to take it out for a joy ride. Just wondering what everyones opinion is. Payce..

How come GTIs are no gos? Before i decided on the celica i was thnking about getting a GTi. You can put on a new chip for about $200 and it puts it up to like 240 HP and 230 ft/lbs so it can rape most cars in a straight line. The main thing i had against the car was the interior and how it's pretty uncool.

Get him a Honda Civic Dx. A 16 yr old doesn't need a fast car.

Get him the civic si. Its not to fast but it has an aftermarket to be fast.

The reason he's not getting a gti is because even though it is the hardest car i have ever seen when modded, It's a POS! It just is, soo sad. And as for the dx. I had a civic ex, It was a pos. Oh yeah, my parents don't want to get him a civic either. They think its a pos also.

lol .. my girl wanted to get a gti .. but when we checked up on the car online .. edmunds.com ... the gti 97 only came up with 115 hp ... well that was in the inline 4 .. i guess its an inline 4 ... the vr6 gti though is really fast ... i say get the gsr .. its the nicest ... civics are slow ... and si's are hard to find .. a bubble is nice too ... civic hatchback ... needs a lot of work though

How about you dont get him any of those cars and let him get a job and save some cash to buy his own car.
