GTS AUTO vs STICK

I know this is stupid but some guy says that auto gts can beat manual....I think he is so proud of his auto tranny I really don't want to ruin his feeling but....
So what do you guy think?

Yeah, I am undefeated in mine. I don't race though so that kind of makes the odds in my favor. :rofl:

That GTS Auto could win though...

I know 6sd GT-S is little faster than auto GT-S but the guy in the other forum just doesn't get it

sorry don't mean to offend anyone, but ............oh most definitely, the 5 spd GT should have no prob against a auto GTS.... the auto GTS is a total waste, 4 cylinder automatic <> performance. Toyota shouldn't have even bothered releasing it, but only did so because they thought they would get more sales. Funny, Acura doesn't seem to have a problem selling the RSX-S (which only comes in 6spd)

The 6 speed is faster unless there's a totally inept driver behind the wheel. Check the 1/4 mile times.

Remember, the raw powa of the GT-S is unmatched. The powa is also transferable to go carts.

I don't think this applies to Celicas since they have no turbos but when comparing a 94 MKIV Supra TT auto to a same year and model manual, the auto is faster because it can maintain a certain boost (or something very much in that context) at a good level while the manual loses a bit of that consistancey.
