on the centre console flap, i added a strip of black velcro. on the right is my cell phone...i can see who is calling while i am driving, and can easily grab it...on the left is my colored palm pilot, where i can read the daily news while stalled, or read off driving directions to any location.

thanks guys.
sexycelica, i had my sponsor do it. they weren't able to take off the wheel :chuckles:, so they just masked everything off and dyed it right there.

You should try to dye more than just the dash... it looks really tacky.

Dont like the velcro idea too much..well actually..I dont like the placement. I think there are better discrete spots you can place it..like where your dimmer is. This is in reference to the cell phone. About your palm pilot..well I dunno..I listen to the radio for news while driving.
Nevertheless..you've got one sweet ride there. Loving the dyed steering wheel. Soo much more cost effective than the TRD Steering Wheel which looks exactly the same. Add a TRD horn button and who can tell the difference? heh.

To me, it doesn't look like the reds really match. They all seem to be a slightly different shade, and it looks like you have too many colors in there for me. Red, black and silver. I would rather just see black and silver or black and red.

The red passenger side airbag looks tacky, otherwise not bad.

they all match, the way the sunlight is hitting the interior makes some pieces look orange.
to those that do not enjoy my interior styling, thanks for your honest opinions

good eye ;)
yes the shift knob and carpets are from the panasonic celica here in canada...a club member gave them to me for free (thanks! ). the steering wheel however, was modeled after the trd wheel, less the horn button and metal circular disk. the panasonic (2002) and trd (2003) steering wheels have the red on the top and bottom, not on the sides (i.e. pic below) :)

Hey man your invention is clever, BUT (no offense) looks quite cheap, and honestly a little tacky. Maybe if you had limited the length of the velcro strip to just what it needed to hold, instead of all the way across the compartment cover it would look better.
clink, clink (there's my two cents)

Hey Pete00, what kind of short-shift did you get? B&M? How much?

thanks guys.
classicromeo: black/red is always a nice combo. white may may be tough to take care of if it becomes stained.
604: its the twm ss...my advice is don't order it from the states b/c shipping/duties/brokerage will rape you =(
