What do you guys use to clean a Stainless Steel exhaust tip? My TRD tip is getting that nasty brown hue...:(

I clean mine with normal car soap, but doesn't get all the black off though.
My neighboor uses this:

from Griot's garage.

I use some stuff called "Nevr Dull" - it's in a blue tin and can be found at most places that carry cleaning supplies for cars. It's not for bringing out a shine, but it's excellent at cleaning all the crap off without scratching. Just finish up then with any kind of crome polish product.

I'm getting a rust colour look to my tip...Anybody know how to clean that?
It's mostly on the bottom edge and inside where water collects and then drips off.
Got the same stuff on the very inside of my front rotors.
Any help?

NEVERDULL will work on the exhaust!! I use it all the time...takes off rust , tar, dirt, pitting...and it even polishes too! You have to wait for a haze to form on it after you clean...then buff off! I remember having to polish the brass thresholds when I was in Basic Training...worked well!

I use this stuff called blue magic. Its a polish that leaves behind a silicone wax. While i dont recommend silicone wax for auto finishes, it workes fantastic on chrome, as well as polishing out scratches and water spots on your sunroof. It is safe for chrome brass plexiglass, plastic, and other great things, I get it at napa.

I just discovered that ceramic cook top cleaner works great for this. I was reading the bottle of cleaner while cleaning my stove one day, and it said it is good for removing baked-on stains from Stainless Steel. I thought it sounded pretty good, so I tried it. It worked as promised, and left a great shine.

was looking the the super street site and they recommended using Lacquer Thinner to remove the carbon build up on the exhaust tips.. (the brown color) But use it in a well ventilated area or you'll get high. [;D]
