I've owned my celica for less than a year and i've had so much phuckin problems with it.....

i've had tranny prob, strut prob and many otherzz...
now i have a prob with Throwout bearing... it is making this
squeaky noise and when i took it to da dealer, they told me that something was loose and it needs new bearing... they said it will
not be covered under the warranty....

I thought it should be covered under the powertrain warranty since throwout bearing is somewhat part of the tranny... does anyone know if it should be covered under the warranty or not?

i really wanna get rid of my Celica now... this brand new phucker has more prob than my old Acura Legend...

the throwout bearing it part of your clutch, which is not covered usually, but most likely the speaking is from the shift fork, not the throw out bearing...

does it squeek when you shift or at idle?

True, the clutch isn't covered by the warranty, but I'm pretty sure that only applies to the "normal wear and tear components", like the clutch disc itself. I had/have a noisy throwout bearing (not the squeaking, more of a "unloaded bearing spinning quickly" kind of noise, which I later found out is normal), and the dealer replaced it no problem. They even replaced the clutch and pressure plate free while they were in there. I suggest you try another dealer. If that doesn't work, call toyota corporate and bitch like hell.

Throwout bearing failure was probably caused by abuse and mis-use. I do agree the Celica has a lot of annoying problems, but none as serious as a factory defect like a throw out bearing.

Late model Jap cars are never like before. I prefer driving my 14yr old Integra than some other new cars.

How do you abuse a throwout bearing? Hard launches are bad for clutches, flywheels and pressure plates, but I don't see how throwout bearing failure can be caused by abuse.
