Hi all, I have a small problem here :(
I am replacing all the speakers on my celi, and running wires for 2 amps to the trunk. the wires and front speaker replacement were np. however, I can't get to the rear speakers. Is there some kind of guide or something that tells you which pieces to take off first?
Looking at the side panels, it looks like you have to take all the trunk pieces off first to get the quarter panels off. I'd really like to avoid that so any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

You'll have to remove all the plastic pieces starting from the back. And you will have to remove the rear seats in order to remove the plastic panels covering the speakers.

how do you remove the seats? I couldnt find any thing that allows you to pull them off. My old eclipse had 2 little pull levers under the seat that let you disconnect it, however i cant find anything on the celica :(

The rear seats pop right up, and then u will see 3 bolts holding down the peice that u lean back on. Also, you do not have to remove all of the plastics in the trunk in order to remove the rear quarter panel plastics. Hope this helps.

First off, somebody move this bad boy to Audio and Security.
OK, I did a full interior sound damping of my car and I removed all the rear panels starting at the trunk and working towards the doors. You don't have to do this but I found it very easy and you may end up wanting to run the wires back that far anyway.
You'll need to remove the rear seat backs (and metal brackets on the sides, where the seat rotates) and the door sills. It helps to remove the seat bottom too, but is not necessary. There are 2 plastic clips joining the panel in front of the speaker and the adjacent panel in the trunk area. (hidden by the seat back) Now the panel can be popped out and slid towards the front of the car to remove. If you remove the seat bottom it is easier to get it off.
I've got pics that I have been to lazy to get posted. Check back later.
