Now, this thing is no joke. Before i raced him he dynoed it earlier that day with a 100/91 octane mix in the car and came out with 334rwhp/353rwtq. He is a damn good driver too (so i suppose), and my shifting skills are bit out of par from the car's 2 month hibernation. Now, I have no clue how much power i am putting down, probably around 250rwhp? maybe right now since i am only running about 13psi of boost. With alcohol injection I will be running 18-20psi and hopefully putting down 300rwhp and close to as much torque, maybe more. But, to the race.
Well, he wants to go from a roll because if he goes from a stop, he will do nothing but spin... what do you expect, its a truck heh. Well, we do a 30mph punch. I brake boost to about 5psi from 30mph... when we go, i instantly pull a car on him from the extra boost i have. I would be pulling away if it wasn't for my mad shifting skills taking their toll... everytime i shifted i dropped back a bit, but i still won all the way to 100mph by about a full car.
Now he wants to go from a stop... I have 500 miles on my new clutch and am not too eager to launch it yet. Well, we line up to go... I "launch" at about 2000rpms, so i instantly dog the car and he pulls a bit, but when I hit 4k rpms in 1st, i surge ahead by about a car length. Course, my shifting skills are still not up to par, so i didnt pull much more than that car the whole race. But, i still won! Amazing that i did heh, that thing is quick. It has already beaten many of the cobras/camaros/other stuff in the KCSR (Kansas City Street Racing) club, so i've heard. He gave me props, and that is the fastest truck i have run up against so far :D
Yeah, the MR2 board doesnt have a kills section anymore, so ill have to post all my races here now hehe.
BTW: I will post dyno results here in a while after i get my alcohol injection and tuning done.
