Low-end torque is weak, but ya gotta expect that from any n/a 1.8 liter engine.

Agreed. I would go test drive one, and drive like you usually would. Then see if you can live with it everyday.

i think the low end it pretty good.
its definetly liveable.
its not a lot of power but it makes it seem like more because of the weight.
you'll just love when your even with a car (racing) and you hit 6k and you car just jumps out ahead.
i think its plenty of power for everyday driving.
you'll be on the top end most of the time.

Get an intake and the low-end is definately liveable.

It's a perfectly fine daily driver. I never find myself looking for more power to get the car to do what I want it to - altho everyone DOES want more power, of course. I'm used to driving 4-bangers around, so this is no different from anything else I've had before. I've also owned a 5.0 XR-7 and have a GS400 sitting in the garage, so I know the difference between 300+ft/lbs of torque and 133.

It's nice to have, but not necessary.

Fuel cutoff is 7800 RPM, not 7600. And VVTLi kicks in at 6000 so there's plenty of room to stay in lift

Wow you have a GS400? You must be loaded?! ;)
