are 9005, 9006 bulbs interchangeable?

teamunison.com says that our high beams are 9005. i can only find 9006 at autodynamic.com ..... i live really close... so i wanna just pick them up there... so im wondering if 9006's can work with 9005..... i know 1156 and 1157 sorta interchangeable... thnks

i think 9006's have only one filiment and 9005 have two. it's those lil wire things in there.

ya thats right you can't just change bulbs. if you want to you also have to change the harness. why would you want to interchange the bulbs???

well its availability. if 9006 work on 9005 harness, then i could buy the 9006 and it would be cheaper for me because the store is near my house. it not that big of a difference though, only like 10 dollars (including gas)

the 9005 bulb can be modified to fit in the 9006 socket. so im guessing 9006 should fit. but wouldnt be as bright. also youd havta modify some parts of the socket too, where the plug plugs in.

that place sucks. have you been there? they throw all their stuff around. the atmosphere is horrible, and the prices are bad, unless u personally know the guy there. been there once, never again.

EDIT: maybe was a bit too harsh.. but still....wouldnt trust quality, not a friendly place. if u want, try autodynamic.com..... they in el monte. loads of stuff, friendly saleslady. recommend it.

im not going here because they dont have the right bulb for me. i need low watt, they only have 100 watters. 100 watt=fried harness..... probably end up going to MB auto for their low watt bulbs... if they burn out im going back to stock.... not an expensive venture, just experimenting... autodynamic moved. its cleaner and they actually have a warehouse where they keep their stuff, unlike autosonic..... lying all over the floor..... its like a jungle gym in there
