I just intalled TRD shocks/springs yesterday. In my opion, they are great. The ride is firmer (not harsh) than stock. No more bouncy ride, just the right amount of cushoning over bumps. On the corner, it's awesome. Nice smooth turns through any kind of coners even with half used stock tires. High speed stability is another great improvement. I was driving around 120mph, and I thought it was rock solid even in a windy day. I thinks it's worth the money. I got it $603(shocks and lowering springs) from partsnet.com. The front two struts comes with its own bump stops and the rest you used the stock hardware. They should have come with celicas stock.

I think Dave at WC Toyota has put a TRD shock/spring package together for 5something, coulda saved on a lil. How do you like the drop of the TRD springs? DO you scrape on anything? Is it low enough? thx

I love my TRD springs. Cheap and effective! I don't think anyone has beat my GT's 2.2109 60ft NA! :) Springs help the 60ft! It's not super low, but low enough to make your body kit look right. I haven't scraped anything yet.

Springs are 1 of 2 of my next purchases. I see there's a package set up by Dave. Is there a marked improvement over the shock/spring package that would merit paying an extra $300+? Secondly, as far as I've seen, $200 seems like the going rate for springs. Where's a good place to buy and a good price for TRD springs?

I didn't know WC was selling for 5something. I saw on their website for about 640 + shipping which would have cost me 40. since partsnet.com was a driving distance from me I just went to pick it up. no shipping and no tax. and I had a friend who has a shop close, so I stopped by and installed it right after I picked them up. The drop is about an inch, and it's not that noticeable but It look better than stock with nice even spacing around the tires. Plus I'm not into slammed look so it's fine for me (may not be enough for others). And I don't have to worry about scraping Greddy Evo 4" tip. Overall, it worked out great for me.

i have had the trd springs and struts on for about a week and a half and like you say its real nice. taking corners feels better and even taking off from a dead stop feels like the cars moving faster.
the body roll is almost gone, but i think new sway bars and strut tower bars would make the car a rock in the corners... :)

WestCovina is awesome. David is awesome. But I've just purchased from www.partznet.com today. They are cheaper, go ahead and check both places. I talked to Tom from parts dept. He's great and very very helpful. I got the sportivo set for $1136. He told me that's under cost. True or not, I don't know. But it is the best price I've seen on that kit. I'm not supporting one particular dealer, either, i'm supporting low price, better deal, and the great customer service that Tom gave me from www.partznet.com.

Did the shocks help reduce the amount of wheelhop on launches?

Free shipping where? And I just checked WC's price, there was never $500 something. I checked almost every week. It's cheaper now, $640, still more than what www.partznet.com offers. But, it's ur preference.

Install was not hard, just takes a while. It helps a lot if you have the right tools like power tools, a lift, and spring compressor. As far as install procedure, I got it off of overboost.com. It's pretty simple to follow. no wheelhop that I have experienced yet, but I just got it and have not done any hard launch. It feels like my steering got lighter and the car just follows were you want it to go very easily.

NO! I got that price over the phone and it wasn't mentioned.. I can always call them back and ask for free shipping, though. But dude, if you are interested, even though it says sold out, but Tom told me today they may be getting more imported. Just takes a bit longer. So give him a buzz. Oh, thanx on that free shipping thing. that would save me some money, even though it doesn't look much anymore after I just drop a grand....

I'm not sure where everyone is getting this. Here's a link to their page:

http://www.partznet.com/toyota/celica/trdcelicastrutspring.html

It's $653.05 for the set there. It's $639.99 at http://www.wctoyotasport.com/TRD

So anyway, not to start nitpicking, but I wanted people to know what's really being charged.

Conicelli's fine, so not knocking them at all either. And that Sportivo kit you bought really was under cost, so you got a great deal.

Anyway, for interested parties, we've got them right now.

Thanks,
David

You're right, David. But if you notice, they also sell the struts set separately. If you get the spring set, and strut set, individually, they come out to be around $603. I don't know why. They told me it's the same thing. The only difference might be that in the set, the springs are already on the struts, that might be the reason. I'm just quoting. No hard feelings, David.

For others, I talked to Tom again today. He said they don't have the Sportivos anymore. So now WCToyota would be the best place to go.

Alright you vultures :D , I lowered the price to $599.99 for the set.

That's better than anyone, and no headaches!

Still have a set or two in stock, with a few more on the way.

Wow, if only I lived closer to your place David. what's the difference between buying a set and buying the springs/struts separetely? And on your website, under springs/struts set the warrenty is life time when installed by Toyota, but under struts it's 3 years unlimited miles. I'm assuming it's suppose to be 3 years unlimited and the description is the copy of sportive suspention which is different from TRD struts.
