Blitz Charger plus nos

Im wondering if this is okay since the blitz supercharger would put out like 70 hp giving me around 280hp i belive right? Plus with NOS that would add up to *with a fifty shot* 330 is that okay? I will be getting low compression pistons and new con rods to handle the power as well so im wondering two things.

can i use a fifty shot of nos with the blitz supercharger *i am getting in the summer imported from WC toyota*

and can i have 350 hp with new internals *im also getting low compression pistons with connectiing rods.

this is my setup that i will do most likely this summer with your guy's good graces since i do trust you guys and i know you do know your stuff and well im an amature at this stuff and know a good amt but not much.

Where are you getting your numbers from? You realize that when you use low compression pistons, the power of the motor decreases. Of course, you can run much higher boost which will compensate for the loss in power. Although people here can give you advice, it would all be speculation because forced induction is not common on the celica. My advice to you is get a different platform (since you're getting rid of your current car anyways) such as a Civic, DSM, or a 240sx.

if money is even a slight problem...which it doesnt seem like it is according to what your planning on doing with you car. but for like 1/2 as much you could get a GSX eclipse and drop like 6g's in it and make that thing run low 12's pretty easy, bigger turbo, boost controller, intercooler, upgraded fuel system, good drag radials, lighter drivline, lighter rims, NOS...everything for those cars is a dime a dozen if you can find the right place to get it. get it up to 400hp and do a little wieght loss program...and the AWD will launch you into low 12's high 11's I would think.

Even if money isn't a problem I would get a different platform. Because a used car would be cheaper, you would have extra money for a nice interior or a really nice stereo system. I'm not tryin to bash the Celica, I just don't have faith that it will be a fast car.

well first of all that doesn't sound very affordable, and second it still sounds halfway dangerous. even with new internals, supercharger + nitrous is gonna be a lot of extra power on all the parts of the car. i'm not saying it's not possible, but if you do come across the money to get it done be real careful. oh yea, and get a 6 speed first, doing that to an auto would just be stupid.

using both s/c and nitrous is possible but its pointless... just put a smaller pulley on the s/c and run more boost.. simple enuf

actually for about 2,000 if that.. it can be done even cheaper and the car would be in the 11s

ya, im in the middle of trying to get me an old TSi (pre 94) Im going away to college next summer up at WVU and dont wanna put miles on my car driving it everywhere, I found a few already for like 2500 bucks in pretty good condition, im trying to find one with a burnt out turbo for cheap so i can get it cheap and drop in a 16G turbo and an intercooler right off the bat. Also want the AWD to get around up there during the winter. anyone know anything I might need to know about these cars?

Guys...

It's really depressing to sit here and read you guys dissing the capabilities of the Celica before anyones even attempted it yet. Real power adders are finally just now coming out...and it's nice to see some people have an interest in what it can do for them.

That crap about getting the power down is true..but I've seen Civics with over 250 horses and Dodge Neons with the same thing...traction is a problem for FWDs but it's not entirely impossible to get it. Hell..getting traction is a problem for every high horsepowered car. These cars were doing just fine...put some slicks on, lower that pressure, and don't launch WOT....it's all technique.

I've seen a Neon do 12's at the Sacramento raceway....and it's only got two wheels putting all that power down? So what's the difference between the two, espescially if he does get an HLSD?

And besides...I don't remember him ever asking suggestions on how to make an ECLIPSE faster?

Not even close...I don't even see it mentioned.

The fact of the matter is....I for one...knew all about the Eclipse's mad mod-factor even before I bought my Celica....but that's just it...it's an Eclipse....not a Celica. Sure it might have the best bang for the buck, but to be honest I really don't care about that.

I'm gonna do my mods because I love the way the Celica looks and style, and I want to make it's other qualities live up to it's design factor.

It's something different....and when you've got 280 horses coming out of a car like that looks like the Celica does...you can't help but be noticed(not that I really care about that...I'm doing this for me). The damn thing already looks like an exotic.

It kinda sickens me to hear you guys going the cheap and easy route with the "You want bang for the buck, get an Eclipse" line.

If he wanted an Eclipse he would have gotten one....simple as that.

Not to mention..he did post that he was getting a 6-speed soon. :D

I am currently supercharging my VVTi (2000 model). The engine has had piston and head modifications to drop the compression and is now safe to run up to 1bar of boost.

It is worth noting that an SC being more efficient will give a power increase which is greater than that of a turbo at the same boost, I have been told the difference is like an SC at 6psi = a turbo at 12 psi, personally I am not too sure about this but this is what I have been told.

As for the N2O. on an Fi system the effect of nitrous is much more dramatic. The power increase given is much higher than rating of the jet feed. Again this is from what I have been told and not from personal experience but I do know a scooby owner who runs 312whp without nos and using a 25bhp shot of nos gets 380whp! This guy is a pro tuner and has been doing this for some time, I have also been out in the car and it definitely feels like it has a such a massive gain on N2O.

In short, on my car I intend to run 12psi through the SC and use a 25bhp shot of nitrous, that should be more than enough, for know :)

BTW - I am also using a Racelogic traction controller to help keep the wheels on the ground, I am putting together an install for this and once the car is on the road and run in I'll do some testing and let you know how it copes. I know this unit is iun use on some highpowered Supras (650bhp) and works really well so I expect good things from this.

I guess you're the so called site admin?, well, that advice you gave to that guy really didn't sound to cool, (coming from you) I see a lot of people go to this site and seek advice. If you ask somebody regarding a particular car, don't tell them to buy a different one because you're not really sure on what to tell him. and one more thing, It is disturbing and annoying seeing that eclipse. nice car though, but if you have a celica, show that one instead.
