I found out today from a friend that the Silver Dollar Raceway opens tomorrow and will be open for test and tune saturdays at noon until sometime in feb. My friend is really into drag racing and said it is a nice track. It is down next to Macon. I was wrong Cody, it looks like it is the one you were talking about. I'm not sure how long of a drive that is, but I thought it could be fun to all meet and go up there either tomorrow or next saturday or something. You can look at all the info at silverdollarraceway.com . There is a picture of a celica in the "old pictures" link. If anyone wants to go tomorrow we could do the bike show sunday, or if you would rather still go to the bike show tomorrow we could set it up for next week maybe.

Either one will work for me. I'm free all weekend. I wonder how busy it will be?

Yeah, I was wondering if it would be crowded too. It will probably be all the hardcore dragracers that know its opening so soon. Either way is fine with me. We can wait and go in a couple weeks or whatever. It might be better to plan it more ahead. The one in commerce doesn't open for another month or two. I just saw a lot of rice on my way home through "the strip" in Gainesville. I think I'm going to go back and take some pictures and race some of them. There was an old Mitsubishi Mirage with APC stickers all over it and a loud muffler that kept reving at me.

yea, i'd like to go down there but it might not be a bad idea to wait a few weeks for it to calm down a little. macon is right about an hour from my house so it might be about 1 1/2 or 2 hours for everyone else. i guess we'll still plan on meeting at 1:00 at the varsity tomorrow for the bike show though. sounds like the rice was fun, there was a ton over in my area tonight, it's just making me ad seeing all of it. but on a good note i murdered this real old integra with a huge "R" sticker and a bunch of yellow japanese stickers today on the way home from school, which was kinda fun.

Yeah, Gainesville has a ton of rice. The only problem is at the strip where everyone goes cruising it is hard to line up next to them to race them. The honda I told you about a couple weeks ago was up there tonight. I tried to take a picture of it but it was a little dificult while I was driving. There was a car up there with the wing missing but the uprights for the wing were still on the back. It was funny as hell! I decided tonight that cruising in gainesville is a waste of time and gas. I need to find somewhere to race. What would you guys think of having a meet and then going up to the dragstrip at commerce in the next month or two? Well I'll see you all at 1:00 tomorrow at the Varsity.
