2nd gear squeak

First I thought it was the belt tensioner because it had that chirping noise, but then I noticed that when the car is stop and I put it into second i hear a mild chirp in the engine bay. What can I do ?

There is a counterweight hammer in the engine bay (below the intake (airbox area) it looks to be brass colored...

The hammers move when you shift gears - it is that linkage that gets squeaky (don't know what the actual linkage is called - but that should point it out...)

Use a little high quality grease (I used the super-coolio-lithium grease) on the mated parts of the assembly, and work it in. That should take care of it. (My '00 GTS did the same thing)
