Anyways after school me and this senoir guy, I am a sophomore decide to race. He owns a older Nova and he dropped a 350 block in it, all it has is different rear gears, heads, and wheels(just different rims with street tires) and a 3 speed auto. I am completely stock(except I took my spare out for the race). Well we go to this place, exactly 1/4 mile, we line up, it was on a slight hill so when the flagger drops it I start out with a half car length lead. I lanuch at 3000, just dropped it, burned out a little and was out, he didnt burn out for fear it sliding back and forth anyways, 1st I had 1 to 1 and half length lead, 2nd kept it until till the end of 2nd when he was at my rear bumper and when I got into 3rd he passed me and put about 2 cars on me right at the end. It was a good race I was surpised in my car. He said he ran 14.9 at 90 which I think is bull but whatever. It was a good race.
