Im looking at some 18" opal verdicts, I like the Dunlop SP's what size tire do you recommend for this wheel, I'll also have a 2.25" drop. What kind of offset should i be looking for. Or should they just fit. I have trouble trusting what the guys at the wheel places say just because i've been screwed over before. I figured I'd ask someone who has first hand exp.

Thanks

Joe

Wow 18s on a car that low? It might work, but I have no experience with a car that low. I know your offset if you have a gts like mine is 39mm stock and you are safe with in 4mm either direction. If you go 35mm they will stick out of the wheel well and may bump the fender if you hit a pothole. If you go 45mm they may rub when you u turn. I am getting 18s and have asked a lot of questions to help me make good choices. The best tire size on an 18 is 225 40 18. The best brand in my opinion is kumho ecsta supra 712. They have an excellent cunsumer rating and are the best price. Go to www.tirerack.com. They have a slightly larger rolling diameter than the stock wheels but they have a better ride than the skinnier tires do. That was from other people's experience. The wheels Im getting are 42mm offset and I will safely clear the calipers by several mm and there should be no rubbing at all. As far as your ride height, Im sure somone who has that setup can help you. Hope I helped too.
