View Full Version : Slid my prized Celi into a curb... :(
And now the damn front right rim is scratched about 5-6inches wide! :(
Damn snow, and I was only travelling at 30km/h! I tried to turn, it wouldnt...I tried everything possible as I was sliding for a good 15-20feet...end result, scratched rim.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any products, or shops around that deal with this?
Thanks!
at least its only the rim ..... especialy if its stock rims, you can get a replacement real cheap. I would be jumpin for joy if i hit somethin and it only touched the rim :-)

I would use this as a way to justify buying new rims

If you want to buy a new stock rim, don't go to the Toyota dealership, because then you'd be paying over $300. Try finding some for sale on these sites, or a junkyard, plenty of dumb ****s are crashing these Celicas.
Or you could use equip these rims with winter tires, and get a new set of rims. Seeing as you are in Canada, that would be a good idea. This car is great with the stock summer tires, but obviously they suck extreme ass in the snow, and the rain for that matter.

wow, thats weird, almost the same thing happened to me, but i slid straight onto and over the curb... the only thing that happened though is that there is a scratch mark on the bottom in the front, rite where there is that metal piece in the middle of the car, other than that, i had to inflate the tires again, i dont know if me hitting the curb made the tires go down or if it was the cold weather

I know how you feel, I slid my Celica once in rain and it hit the curb pretty hard too. Round up with a scratched almost as wide as yours. Aftering hitting the curve, I thought my suspension might be messed up or worst because the steering wheel felt wobbly, alignment was messed up and so forth.
Luckily for me, only thing happen was that I needed to get the wheel that hit the curve rebalance and retorque. No damage to the car.

Its the back right corner, I don't even have mine yet and I know this... scary eh?? if I saw you do that I would have slapped you upside your head. Ya don't buy them from Dealer... way too overpriced. Ebay is easy to get stuff off of.
