i left my box for the clear bumper lenses out on the desk. on the box was a warning about it being only for show or offroad use and how it wasnt DOT approved blah blah blah. my father got freaked.... and basically said no modding... unless with permission... as i see it, my modding career is basically over till im 18... but until then... only DOT approved stuff can even be considered. what common mods are legal, DOT approved, etc? i know it sounds retarded, cuz it is.... but that's life with parents.....

and i know im an idiot for leaving the box on the desk.

if it doesnt work out.... i think i wont be spending much time on the site anymore....

do you have ms paint on your computer?

make a picture. make it a circle. inside it, write in big font "DOT" and under it in smaller font "APPROVED". Now, print the thing on sticker paper (available at staples, etc). Then, cut them out and stick them on all the boxes you have with mods in them.

instead of fake stickers showing mods.... they should make fake "dot approved" stickers.....

dude, you should really try my idea out. i'm not trying to say your parents are stupid, but i've thought up some clever ish in the past with my folks.

To answer the question: APC Altezzas are DOT approved.

Stickers aren't :D

Maybe it's just me, but someone under 18 modding a 25k car just doesn't seem right. Money issues etc...anyway.... enjoy.

hah, that sucks man.. well my parents told me NO MODIFIYING YOUR CAR when they bought it for me because my last car got stolen and they blamed it on me for fixing it up. so for the first 6 months of owning my celica, i didn't do anything to it.. And then I got a free exhuast and it was over.. how can you have an exhaust without a lowering the car? and then on and on it went..

most of the mods you can do to your car w/o your parents noticing, especially if they're like my parents and don't know anything about cars.. Of all the mods I have on my car, the only one they noticed was the APR Wing.. yeah I guess it was too hard to hide .. my dad was like "Why did you put that ugly thing on your car?!"

You can get away w/ springs, intake, exhaust, maybe rims w/o most parents noticing..
