What is the difference between an Alltrac and a GT-Four. Which car is rarer? What kind of specs do each have. I'm just trying to learn about the history of Celicas.

isn't the alltrac just an older version of the GT-Four?
the japan version got like 30 extra hp outta the 3S-GTE

Alltrac was the N.A. name for the rally homogolation (sp?) version of the Celica (WRC).
It was named GT-4 everywhere else though.
So the only difference is in the name (and perhaps level of tuning).
Also, whereas GT-4s were not made after the 99 model left, the Alltrac imports got cut pretty early in the 90s (if I remember correctly).

All-Trac is what the turbo AWD Celica from the upper eighties till '93 where called. I'd like to get one but the looks just kill it for me. A 6th gen GT-4 would be awesome to have.

Alltrac and GT4 are teh same thing - Alltrac was just the American badging / moniker.
And yeah 6th gen was like 255 HP.

*crosses fingers for any AWD 3S-GTE to come to N.A.*
Caldina, Celica, Corolla, any one will do!

Toysport sells imported Caldina motors. Or you could have someone import a Caldina. Outside of that I think you would be better off shopping for a used one instead of waiting.
