i own an '02 GT. i was wondering since the gt and gt-s are the same engine displacement, is it possible to do a valve lift treatement on the gt like the gt-s has?

it might be possialbe of ALOT OF MONEY!!!. But hey what do i know. If u can make a non vtech integra into a vtech . why wouldn't u do the same with the celica. But i really think it is very expensive lol. So search for the message somewhere. i bet somebody has talked about it.

the celica gt and the celica gt-s ARE NOT the same car with the gt-s just having lift. the gt-s tranny is designed for use with the vvtl-i engine, etc. they don't just change that one mechanism and suddnely have a gt-s. i'm sorry i don't know details, vvtli-kick or chameleon (sp. on the names?) would have more specifics. but, its not worth your money because it would cost so much that it would be cheaper to just get a gt-s.

Not a chance! The bore and stroke are totally different. Also the valve angles are completely different which is critical to engine performance.

Well, I don't think it's impossible, but it's just not worth all the work.
